A visa is required to travel to Suriname. The type of visa you need depends on the purpose of your trip. Are you visiting Suriname as a tourist? Then you should apply for a tourist visa. Are you going on a business trip? Then apply for a business visa.

Tourist visa requirements
Please be aware: a Tourist card can only be used for single entry. No application form or picture is required. Also, Tourist card can only be used for a tourist purpose.
You can purchase a Tourist card at the following locations:
- At the Visa department of the Consulate General of the Republic of Suriname in Amsterdam,
Monday through Friday.
- At the “Tourist card counters” at Schiphol Airport The Tourist card counters will be open for SLM and KLM flights to Suriname to provide services during at least two hours before check-in. For more information visit www.consulaatsuriname.nl
- On arrival at the Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport in Suriname.
To buy a Tourist card, you need following documents:
A valid original passport. Please note: this passport must be valid for six months on arrival.
2.Booking confirmation of your tickets
A return tickets or tickets of the transit.
The tourist card costs €20.
Business visa requirements
The following forms and documents need to be submitted as part of your visa application:
The applicant is responsible for having a valid passport. Please note: this passport must be valid for six months after the end of the visa you wish to apply for. Additionally, there must be a minimum of two empty pages side-by-side in the applicant’s passport.
2.Original visa application form

3.Two identical passport photos
The Consulate only accepts recent passport photos, which must be in colour and of good quality.
4.Letter of guarantee
Letter of guarantee needs to be provided by the employer of the applicant in The Netherlands. The letter must contain the following information: a company name, address, official stamp and signature, personal information of the employee such as name, passport number, date of birth, purpose of the visit with specific dates and a sponsorship guarantee.
5.An extract from the registration with the Chamber of Commerce of the company in The Netherlands
6.Booking confirmation of your tickets
The hard copy of the flight E-tickets needs to be provided as proof.
The cost of a business visa contains two parts:
For a single entry visa, the amount of €50.00 is charged by the Consulate.
The handling fee is €49.00 (excluding VAT) per passport.
