A visa is required to travel to Kazakhstan. The type of visa you need depends on the purpose of your trip. Are you visiting Kazakhstan as a tourist? Then you should apply for a tourist visa. Are you going on a business trip? Then apply for a business visa.
Since January 1st, 2017 visas are not required for a stay with maximum duration of up to 30 days. This exception applies to the citizens of the following countries, including The Netherlands.

Business visa requirements
The application process at the Consulate takes up to six working days. The Consulate is closed on Wednesdays. If you would like an express visas service, we can submit your application at the consulate in Brussels.
The following forms and documents need to be submitted as part of your visa application:
The applicant is responsible for having a valid passport. Please note: this passport must be valid for six months after the end of the visa you wish to apply for. Additionally, there must be a minimum of two empty pages side-by-side in the applicant’s passport.
2.Two identical passport photos
The Consulate only accepts recent passport photos, which must be in colour, of good quality and meets the size specifications (35 mm x 45 mm).
3.Original visa application form
Once completed online, the form needs to be duplicated and printed two-sided. Also, the form needs to be signed by the applicant. The form can be accessed through the following link: Application form
Please be aware: The application form must be completed in full. Also, if you type your application, you can’t use autocorrect. In the case of errors, the form must be filled in again.
4.A print copy of the information page (1st page) of the applicant’s passport in colour, need to be provided.
5.Business invitation letter from the host company in Kazakhstan with the company name, contact information, the purpose of visit and dates. We could help you with arranging the invitation.
6.Proof of employment
Proof of employment needs to be provided by the employer of the applicant and must contain the following information: a company name and address, name of the employee, stamp, signature, the purpose of the visit with specific dates and a sponsorship guarantee. Please be aware: If you are applying for a multiple entry visa for 1 year, you can stay for a maximum of 45 days per visit to Kazakhstan.
The cost of a business visa contains two parts:
Single entry visa: €50,00
Double entry visa: €70,00
Multiple entry visa: €170,00
The handling fee is €49.00 (excluding VAT) per passport. In addition, if you apply for more than two applicants, every third passport will cost only €19.00 (excluding VAT).
